Friday News - March 9

Here's a look at learning from 3.1 this week....

In Math we are working with measurement. We learned about liters vs. milliliters for when measuring capacity (or liquid volume). We also worked with gram vs. kilogram for measuring mass (matter of an object).

In Reading we looked at word parts -- specifically prefixes and suffixes and how they can help us understand the meaning of words.

In Writing we talked about our next unit: persuasive/opinion writing. We will keep working on that next week.

In Bible we looked at the 10 Commandments that God gave to Moses and the people of Israel in the Old Testament (we are also learning about this chapel with Mr. Roe!

For Social Studies we are still working hard on our country reports. Today we started painting our tri-fold poster boards! Don't forget about remind your student about their at-home projects they need to complete by the 23rd of March. I will post another post with helpful website links to help your child research more about their country at home
