Friday News - March 22

Happy Friday!

What a awesome time it was watching the students lead the conferences on Thursday. They did such a great job of showing the hard work they've done so far this year. Thank you parents for coming to listen to your student share with you! Let's keep encouraging them to do their best for these last few months of 3rd grade! :)

This week in 3.1...
In Math we learned what expressions and equations are. We learned how to solve the equations using the four different operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Plus we are continuing to work on knowing our multiplication facts!

In Bible we learned about God calling Moses to free His people, the Israelites. We learned about the 10 plagues God sends on Pharaoh and all of the Egyptians in order to rescue the Israelites. We also learned about the Passover (see second video).

In Reading we learned about prefixes and suffixes!

In Writing we finished up the final drafts of our opinion writing!

This will take place Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 1-3 pm.
Our schedule will be a bit different next week because of this---there will be NO regular specials classes (no Japanese, P.E., music, art).

[The biggest change for next week is that we'll have library on Thursday - March 7]

Culture Fair/Country Reports:

*Today a signup sheet went home regarding the International Luncheon -- If you are able to bring in a dish to pass please return the form as soon as possible. Thank you!
